"By Faith: Moses" Rev. Joseph Chung Hebrews 11:24~26 Sep 25.2016
Hebrews 11:24~2624. By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh's daughter.25. He chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a short time.26. He regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking ahead to his reward.

"By Faith: Abram Part 3" Rev. Joseph Chung Hebrews 11:17-19 Aug 28.2016
Hebrews 11:17-1917. By faith Abraham, when God tested him, offered Isaac as a sacrifice. He who had embraced the promises was about to sacrifice his one and only son,18. even though God had said to him, “It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned.”19. Abraham reasoned that God could even raise the dead, and so in a manner of speaking he did receive Isaac back from death.

"By Faith: Believers" Rev. Joseph Chung Hebrews 11:13-16 Aug 21.2016
Hebrews 11:13-1613. All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance. And they admitted that they were aliens and strangers on earth.14. People who say such things show that they are looking for a country of their own.15. If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return.16. Instead, they were longing for a better country -- a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.

Hebrews 11:11-1211. By faith Abraham, even though he was past age -- and Sarah herself was barren -- was enabled to become a father because he considered him faithful who had made the promise.12. And so from this one man, and he as good as dead, came descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as countless as the sand on the seashore.

Hebrews 11:9-109. By faith he made his home in the promised land like a stranger in a foreign country; he lived in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise.10. For he was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God.

“Repent Before God Exposes It" Pastor Jay Kim Joshua 7:2-26 Jul 31.2016
Joshua 7:2-262. Now Joshua sent men from Jericho to Ai, which is near Beth Aven to the east of Bethel, and told them, "Go up and spy out the region." So the men went up and spied out Ai.3. When they returned to Joshua, they said, "Not all the people will have to go up against Ai. Send two or three thousand men to take it and do not weary all the people, for only a few men are there."4. So about three thousand men went up; but they were routed by the men of Ai,5. who killed about thirty-six of them. They chased the Israelites from the city gate as far as the stone quarries and struck them down on the slopes. At this the hearts of the people melted and became like water.6. Then Joshua tore his clothes and fell facedown to the ground before the ark of the LORD, remaining there till evening. The elders of Israel did the same, and sprinkled dust on their heads.7. And Joshua said, "Ah, Sovereign LORD, why did you ever bring this people across the Jordan to deliver us into the hands of the Amorites to destroy us? If only we had been content to stay on the other side of the Jordan!8. O Lord, what can I say, now that Israel has been routed by its enemies?9. The Canaanites and the other people of the country will hear about this and they will surround us and wipe out our name from the earth. What then will you do for your own great name?"10. The LORD said to Joshua, "Stand up! What are you doing down on your face?11. Israel has sinned; they have violated my covenant, which I commanded them to keep. They have taken some of the devoted things; they have stolen, they have lied, they have put them with their own possessions.12. That is why the Israelites cannot stand against their enemies; they turn their backs and run because they have been made liable to destruction. I will not be with you anymore unless you destroy whatever among you is devoted to destruction.13. "Go, consecrate the people. Tell them, `Consecrate yourselves in preparation for tomorrow; for this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: That which is devoted is among you, O Israel. You cannot stand against your enemies until you remove it.14. "`In the morning, present yourselves tribe by tribe. The tribe that the LORD takes shall come forward clan by clan; the clan that the LORD takes shall come forward family by family; and the family that the LORD takes shall come forward man by man.15. He who is caught with the devoted things shall be destroyed by fire, along with all that belongs to him. He has violated the covenant of the LORD and has done a disgraceful thing in Israel!'"16. Early the next morning Joshua had Israel come forward by tribes, and Judah was taken.17. The clans of Judah came forward, and he took the Zerahites. He had the clan of the Zerahites come forward by families, and Zimri was taken.18. Joshua had his family come forward man by man, and Achan son of Carmi, the son of Zimri, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, was taken.19. Then Joshua said to Achan, "My son, give glory to the LORD, the God of Israel, and give him the praise. Tell me what you have done; do not hide it from me."20. Achan replied, "It is true! I have sinned against the LORD, the God of Israel. This is what I have done:21. When I saw in the plunder a beautiful robe from Babylonia, two hundred shekels of silver and a wedge of gold weighing fifty shekels, I coveted them and took them. They are hidden in the ground inside my tent, with the silver underneath."22. So Joshua sent messengers, and they ran to the tent, and there it was, hidden in his tent, with the silver underneath.23. They took the things from the tent, brought them to Joshua and all the Israelites and spread them out before the LORD.24. Then Joshua, together with all Israel, took Achan son of Zerah, the silver, the robe, the gold wedge, his sons and daughters, his cattle, donkeys and sheep, his tent and all that he had, to the Valley of Achor.25. Joshua said, "Why have you brought this trouble on us? The LORD will bring trouble on you today." Then all Israel stoned him, and after they had stoned the rest, they burned them.26. Over Achan they heaped up a large pile of rocks, which remains to this day. Then the LORD turned from his fierce anger. Therefore that place has been called the Valley of Achor ever since.

"By Faith: Enoch" Rev. Joseph Chung Hebrews 11:5-6 Jul 03.2016
Hebrews 11:5-65. By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death; he could not be found, because God had taken him away. For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God.6. And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

"United by love" Rev. Joseph Chung 1 Corinthians 13:1-3 May 15.2016
1 Corinthians 13:1-31. If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.2. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.3. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.

"You give them something to eat" Jay Kim Matthew 14:13-21 Feb 21.2016
Matthew 14:13-2113. When Jesus heard what had happened, he withdrew by boat privately to a solitary place. Hearing of this, the crowds followed him on foot from the towns.14. When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them and healed their sick.15. As evening approached, the disciples came to him and said, "This is a remote place, and it's already getting late. Send the crowds away, so they can go to the villages and buy themselves some food."16. Jesus replied, "They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat."17. "We have here only five loaves of bread and two fish," they answered.18. "Bring them here to me," he said.19. And he directed the people to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people.20. They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over.21. The number of those who ate was about five thousand men, besides women and children.
